Can a player play on more than one team during the tournament?
The BCC does not permit players to play on more than one team in the tournament. Players are registered to one team for the entirety of the tournament. If a player plays on another team during the tournament, all of the team’s games played will be considered forfeits and the team will not be eligible for championship or consolation games.
What are the roster requirements of the BCC?
Rosters will contain no more than 12 players for U10 and under, 14 players for U11 & U12 and 18 for U13 and up.
Each team can have up to three (3) guest players per team. Guest players must be from the same USSF affiliate as the team they are requesting to guest play with. No double carding of players will be allowed. Players are not allowed to play or be rostered on more than one team during the tournament and cannot switch to another team during the tournament. If a coach/player breaks this rule both teams will be disqualified.
Players must be registered to their team according to current US Youth Soccer standards for age groupings. In the U14/15 division, only U15 players who appear on the official league team roster will be allowed to play with their teams. On U14/15 teams, 75% of the team must be U14 age players. All players must be properly registered during scheduled registration times before the start of their first game. Current player passes must be furnished for each contestant and coach, these must be laminated and include a picture and the player’s date of birth. Teams traveling from outside OYSAN (Ohio Youth Soccer Association – North) must have proper travel forms.
I am coaching for more than one team for my community. Can you schedule it so I don’t have to be in two places at once?
The Scheduling Committee will make its best efforts to accommodate coaches with this problem. Please make sure to indicate on your application if your coach is coaching multiple teams (under special requests). You can also contact the Director at bvchallengecup@yahoo.com if you have any further questions.
We are an out of town team. Do we need a Permit to Travel? If needed, how do we go about getting a Permit to Travel?
If your team is located outside of Ohio-North, you will need a Permit to Travel from your state association. Please contact your league representative or state association for further information. You can also contact the Director at bvchallengecup@yahoo.com if you have any further questions.
