The 34th Annual Bay Challenge Cup Soccer Tournament
September 3 -5 2011/ Labor Day Weekend
The Bay Soccer Club invites your Team or Club to submit entries for participation in the 34th Annual Bay Challenge Cup Soccer Tournament to be held Labor Day Weekend 2010. The tournament is a celebration of soccer on Ohio’s north coast where many of the soccer fields have a magnificent view of Lake Erie.
LOCATION: Bay Village, Ohio is located 15 miles west of Cleveland
DATES: First games will begin at 8:00am on Saturday, September 3
Championship games will begin at 8:00am on Monday, September 5
TOURNAMENT INFORMATION: Each participation team will play a minimum of 3 games and a maximum of 5 games. Teams in the U9 Division will have 4 games scheduled. Each player will receive a tournament gift and program. Awards will be given for first and second place teams. Participation Awards will be given in the U9 age group.
ELIGIBILITY: Applications are invited from girls and boys teams that are duly registered and in good standing with their respective state, provincial, or national association. Only approved teams and players with approved US Youth Soccer or appropriate national association player passes will be allowed to participate. Rosters will contain no more than 12 players for U10 and under, 14 players for U11 & U12 and 18 players for U13 and up. A maximum of three guest players per team may be used. Guest players must be from the same USSF affiliate as the team they are requesting to guest play with. Guest players must have guest player forms approved by your state, local, or national youth association and a copy of the guest player’s original roster. No double carding will be allowed. Players are not allowed to play or be rostered on more than one team during the tournament. Each player must have a valid USSF/US Youth Soccer ID card. Teams outside Ohio Youth Soccer Association-North must have an application to travel forms approved by their state or provincial soccer association.

U10 Birth Date 8/1/00 – 7/31/01 6 v 6
U11 Birth Date 8/1/99 – 7/31/00 8 v 8
U12 Birth Date 8/1/98 – 7/31/99 8 v 8
U13 Birth Date 8/1/97 – 7/31/98 11 v 11
U14 Birth Date 8/1/96– 7/31/97 11 v 11
LAWS OF THE GAME: All games will be played under International rules (FIFA) as modified for youth play by US Youth Soccer.
FEES: The tournament entry fee per team is $400.00 for teams playing 6 v 6 and $450.00 for all other teams. PAYMENT IN FULL MUST ACCOMPANY YOUR APPLICATION FORM. The entry deadline is July 30, 2010. All payment not received by this deadline will be subject to a $20.00 late fee.
Any club entering 8 or more teams in the tournament is eligible for a 10% discount on the entry fee for EACH participating team.
If all or a portion of the tournament games is cancelled by Bay Soccer Club for any reason, a full refund will be issued to affected teams.

HOTELS: Bay Challenge Cup has reserved blocks of rooms. Teams should contact the hotel directly, by August 1, 2010 to make their own reservations and identify themselves as Bay Challenge Cup Tournament Participants to obtain group rates. No hotel is further then 15 miles from Bay Village. The Holiday Inn Westlake is the headquarter hotel.

TEAM REGISTRATION: Team registration will be held at the Holiday Inn Westlake on Thursday, September 1st from 6:00pm to 9:00pm for local teams & Friday, September 2nd from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm for all other teams.
